Program of Excellence

New for the 2017/2018 season is the Program of Excellence. This program is directed at officials who are looking to get on to the AA/AAA list of officials for City Wide Assigning, or are currently on that list and looking to do U18/JR hockey in the Ottawa Area.

This program will:

• Offer some on ice sessions to help develop officials at a competitive level.
• Work together to get to the next level of officiating.
• Use officials who have reached those levels to act as mentors.
• Have rule and scenario discussions to help strengthen our knowledge.
• Focus more on supervisions and improving to the next level.

Referee’s here will be looked upon to deliver a strong effort for everything asked. They will be accepted into the Program because we believe they have the ability to do hockey outside of the DBOA.
